Active Supervision in the Classroom and on the Playground
October 13 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm$5.00
Keeping children safe is a top priority for all child care programs. Active supervision is the most effective strategy for creating a safe environment and preventing injuries in young children. It transforms supervision from passive approach to an active skill. Staff use this strategy to make sure that children of all ages explore their environment safely. Each program can keep children safe by teaching staff how to look, listen, and engage. Participants will learn about six strategies for active supervision to keep children safe. Programs that use active supervision take advantage of all available learning opportunities and never leave children unattended.
