What does the Albemarle Alliance for Children and Families do?
AACF was originally named Albemarle Partnership, until 1998, when Smart Start funding and initiatives were extended to include Camden, Currituck, and Pasquotank counties. In 2006 Gates County was included, followed by Bertie County in 2007. Today, Albem arle Alliance for Children and Families serves as a resource for children, families, childcare providers, and local agencies and organizations in 5 counties. We now have offices located in Elizabeth City and Windsor, North Carolina.
